Properties

Violent reaction with water: Extremely sensitive to air and moisture, will undergo violent reaction with water and release flammable C₇H₈.

Flammable: In humid air, due to the intense exothermic reaction, flammable C₇H₈ will be released.

Stability: It should be operated and stored under the protection of anhydrous and oxygen-free inert gases (such as nitrogen or argon). Avoid contact with oxidants, acids, alcohols, etc. at room temperature.

Applications

1. General nucleophilic addition reagent: As a benzylation reagent, it is used for the addition reactions of carbonyl groups, carbon-nitrogen unsaturated bonds and other unsaturated functional groups to generate corresponding compounds such as alcohols and amines.

2. Ring-opening addition reaction: It can undergo ring-opening addition reaction with epoxy compounds to obtain alcoholic compounds.

3. Cross-coupling and substitution reactions: Under the action of catalysts, it can react with compounds such as esters to generate ketones.

4. Drug and catalyst synthesis: Used for synthesizing drug intermediates such as 2,3-disubstituted chromen-4-one and phenylalanine derivatives; also used for alkylated quinoline-functionalized chromium complexes as precursors for preparing olefin polymerization catalysts.

Packaging/Storage

1. 500ml glass bottles; 200L iron drums and steel cylinders.

2. During use, this product should be isolated from air and moisture as much as possible, and it is best to use it once immediately after opening. If color difference or micro-precipitation is found in this product, it will not affect the product performance.

3. Store at room temperature.
